What are some scientifically proven facts about intelligent people?
That is, are there some things we can say with a high degree of confidence that people with high IQs do better than people with lower IQs?
It’s a question that comes up often in the media. For example, the recent PBS special on the intelligence of people with autism, The Search for Autism’s Missing Gene, made it a point to stress that autistic people tend to be more intelligent than the general population.
This might seem like a no-brainer, but there’s some debate over whether or not the differences are actually that large.
That is, people who are bright, who have higher IQ scores than others, or who have high levels of education? I have read a few books about IQ and I have read a few articles on the internet, and there is some evidence to support the idea that higher IQ scores correlate with higher levels of education, and with more money, but what about other things?
